Sonny Moore (born January 15, 1988), in Los Angeles, California, USA was the former vocalist and frontman for
the band From First to Last.
Moore was born in the city of Los Angeles, but moved to San Francisco when he was two years of age. He returned
to Los Angeles when he was 12 years old, and formed his first band, At Risk, in which he also did vocals and rhythm
guitar. He met Matt Good on the internet through Myspace and flew out to Valdosta, Georgia,
USA, approximately two weeks after his 16th birthday, where From First to Last were recording. Sonny joined the band three
days later. Originally, Sonny was to be the band's guitarist, but was asked to be the vocalist after the band heard him singing
'Featuring Some Of Your Favorite Words' in the vocal booth.
Shortly before becoming a member of the band, Moore discovered that he was adopted. This major event in his life has gone
on to influence parts of his music as heard in the title track and the song "Afterbirth" on the bands album, Heroine.
Moore is now however, on good terms with his adoptive parents Scott and Francis Moore. His father works as an insurance claims
agent and his mother is a housewife. Moore had grown up with his biological parents close to him as family friends. He never
knew they were his parents until recently.
